Judy Shiau, MD, FRCPC

The Ottawa Cardiovascular Centre is pleased to announce Dr. Judy Shiau will be joining our staff with a focus on:


Cardiovascular Prevention
Diabetes Prevention and Management
Hyperlipidemia and Metabolic Syndrome
Cardiovascular Disease in Women

 

Dr. Shiau graduated from McGill University medical school in 1996. She then trained in General Internal Medicine at McMaster University and subsequently completed her fellowship year at the University of Toronto with a focus on endocrinology and women’s health. Since July 2000, Dr. Shiau has been working at the Ottawa Hospitals where she has been both a consultant for General Internal Medicine and has been running a community-style in-patient ward. She has also enrolled in epidemiology courses at the University of Ottawa because of her interests in the application of evidenced-based medicine in the community.

 

Dr. Shiau will be seeing patients both at the Ottawa Cardiovascular Centre and the Ottawa Cardiovascular Centre East. Referrals for new patients will be welcomed as of September 9 2002.
