  • Where are the clinics located?

  • Are OCC services covered by OHIP?
    OCC services are covered by OHIP for Ontario residents with a valid Ontario health card and referred to our clinic by a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Why is it hard to get through to speak with someone at the clinic?
    Our office gets a high volume of calls. If you're having trouble reaching us, please try calling in the afternoon when our phone lines are quieter.
  • Can I request a male or female technologist?
    Though we do our best to accommodate requests for male/female technologist, please be aware that it is not always possible to meet your requirement. We’ll try our best at the time of your appointment, yet we cannot guarantee.
  • If I need to make a payment, what forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept VISA, Mastercard and Debit; we do not accept cash.
  • Are OCC services covered by RAMQ?
    RAMQ does not cover the costs of cardiac testing and/or consultation for Quebec patients in Ontario. We are happy to facilitate appointments and testing for Quebec patients with full payment made at the time of clinic visit. We issue invoices for any incurred costs that can be submitted to RAMQ for reimbursement. Please note that OCC cannot guarantee full cost reimbursement from RAMQ.
  • Do I need to confirm my appointment?
    Yes, all appointments need to be confirmed though our automatic email reminder system or via phone call.
  • Do I need to arrive early for my appointment?
    Yes, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment for registration.
  • Is there a penalty for missed appointments?
    Yes, a missed appointment will be subject to a $100.00 charge. To avoid potential inconvenient charges, OCC requires a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation to allow other patient the appointment slot.
  • If I cancel my appointment, how soon can I reschedule?
    Due to a high demand for Cardiology appointments, we may not be able to reschedule a cancelled appointment earlier than 6 months from the cancellation date.
  • I lost my health card, can I still come to my appointment?
    Please contact our clinic prior to your appointment to have your OHIP card number validated.
  • I’m a Quebec patient, can I have an appointment?
    Yes, we do see Quebec patients. It is important to know that if you are a resident of Quebec, you will be expected to pay at the time of the appointment. Receipts will be provided to submit for reimbursement at RAMQ.
  • I have a requisition for booking an appointment. How do I book an appointment?
    Please call your preferred location, Bank Street or Orleans, to book your appointment.
  • Do I require a requisition to book an appointment?
    Yes, a requisition is required. All patients are referred to us by a doctor.
  • 5929 Jeanne D’Arc, Orléans
    There is ample parking and it is free at this location.
  • 1355 Bank Street, Ottawa
    There is paid parking located in front and to the side of our building. The parking cost is $2/hour and the ticket is to be displayed on your dash. We suggest that you allow for 2 hours of parking for physician appointments and up to 3 hours for testing.
  • Will I get charged for forms completion?
    Yes, we charge a fee for any Ministry of Transportation forms, Insurance, medical records request or letters.
  • Is there anything I need to know about my upcoming tests?
    Description and instructions about our tests are available on our website: Referrals and Test Instructions.
  • Can I get a copy of the report sent to a doctor other than the referring physician?
    Yes, we can send your test report to a physician of choice. When registering for your test, please inform the receptionist that you would like a copy of the report sent to another physician.
  • I am having a nuclear test done. Do I need to bring a driver with me?
    No. A driver is not necessary.
  • How do I get my test results?
    Test results will be available to discuss on your next follow-up appointment. If you do not get a follow-up appointment at our clinic, your results will be sent to your family doctor or referring doctor.
